WEBDEV administrator: Web services tab
The "Web services" tab gives information about the dynamic WEBDEV web services installed on the computer. Details of the "Sites" tab The "Web services" tab lists the different WEBDEV web services installed on the computer and managed by the WEBDEV administrator. For each web service, the following information is displayed in a table: - web service name,
- full web service installation directory on the computer,
- the name of the corresponding "project" file.
- web service status (locked or not). You can check the box to directly block access to the web service during the update.
- the number of scheduled tasks used by the web service.
The "Web services" tab also allows you to: - Delete the selected web service(s) from the table ("Delete" button).
Bear in mind this deletes the web service from the administrator but not from disk. - Refresh the list of web services in the table ("Refresh" button).
This refresh operation checks if a web service has been installed and if it appears in the administrator. - Add a web service in the table ("Add" button).
- Individually configure the web services found on the computer.
The configuration used by default is the one defined in the "Configuration" tab. You also have the ability to create a specific configuration for the selected web service: - the "Scheduled tasks" button is used to manage the scheduled tasks associated with the selected web service. This setting is available for the web services deployed on the server.
The window that is displayed is used to: - See the scheduled tasks associated with the web service. The following elements are specified for each task: its name, the associated procedure, the scheduling, whether the task is enabled or not.
- Run a scheduled task immediately.
- Modify a scheduled task (modify its scheduling for example).
- Delete a scheduled task. In this case, the scheduled task is deleted until the next deployment of the web service or until the next reboot of WEBDEV Application Server.
- the "Parameters" button is used to specify the parameters of the web service. The "General" option indicates that the parameter corresponds to the value selected in the "Configuration" tab, the "Specific" option lets you customize the parameter. You can customize:
- the duration of AWWS contexts,
- the maximum task duration,
- the security options.
These server security options are defined in the "Advanced" tab of the WEBDEV administrator ("Miscellaneous" section). - the generation of a specific log file.
- the recipients of error reports for this web service. This option is only available if error report generation has been enabled in the administrator's "Log" tab.. For more details, see WEBDEV administrator: Viewing logs.
- the URL of the SaaS web service to use. This parameter corresponds to:
- the name of the host of the SaaS web service (for example "Computer", "Computer.MyNetwork.com", "http://Mydomain.com").
- the full URL of the SaaS web service (for example, "http://domain.com/WDSAAS300_WEB/WDSaaS300.awws").
When you confirm the web service settings, changes are immediately taken into account for the selected web service.
