Overview

Table control is available for Android and iOS mobile applications.. This control includes the features of the Table control of WINDEV.

The scroll (horizontal and vertical scrolling) is done with the finger.

Available features

The Table control proposes the following features for the Android and iOS applications:

Filling:
- by programming (Memory table).
- file binding (Browsing table with data binding).
- variable link (Table on source).
Resizing columns by finger gesture.
Anchoring columns (very useful when the window switches from portrait to landscape).
Single selection or multiple selection.

Popup menu.

Input in a Table control

The input in the Table controls on mobile is automatically managed.

To perform an input in a cell found in the Table control:

Click the cell where the input will be performed.
An input area is opened at the top of the Table control. If the cell contains a text, this text is displayed.
Modify or add the requested text.
Validate.

Programming the Table control

The WLanguage functions of the Table family are supported in Android and iOS.

AAF of Table control

The following AAFs are available for the Table control on mobile:

Sort.
Search via the magnifier.
Filter.
Column resizing.

The AAFs are accessible "via the finger" by the end user.

Sort

The sortable columns are identified by

The column type is Text, Numeric, ...: a popup menu is displayed.

Caution: A click on the cross found in the input area cancels the search.

Data filter: "Contains" filter

To filter the elements displayed in a Table control ("Contains" filter):

Tap the column header with the finger to display the popup menu.
Select the funnel:
In the input area that is displayed at the top of Table control, type the requested filter.
Only the values of the Table control corresponding to the filter are displayed.

Caution: A click on the cross found in the input area cancels the filter.

Remark: Specific filters for the numeric columns
Specific filters can be created in the numeric columns:

Tap the header of the numeric column with the finger to display the popup menu.
Select the filter to use:
- equal.
- different.
- less than.
- greater than.
In the input area that is displayed at the top of the Table control, type the comparison value.
Only the values of the Table control corresponding to the filter are displayed.

Resizing columns

To resize a column:

Tap the extremity of the column header with the finger to perform the resize operation.
Keep the finger pressed and resize the column.
Release the finger when the requested size is reached.

Limits

Limitations for Android

Data input is not available in browsing Table controls. The functions TableAdd, TableAddLine, TableInsert, TableInsertLine, TableModify, TableModifyLine are not available on the browsing Table controls.
Only the automatic browse is available for browsing Table controls. The programmed browse is not available.
The browsing Table controls loaded in memory are not limited.

Limitations for iOS

Data input is not available in browsing Table controls. The functions TableAdd, TableAddLine, TableInsert, TableInsertLine, TableModify, TableModifyLine are not available on the browsing Table controls.
