Closes a connection to a database. All data files using this connection are closed.

Syntax

<Result> = HCloseConnection(<Connection>)

<Result>: Boolean

True if the operation was performed,
False if a problem occurs. HErrorInfo is used to identify the error.

<Connection>: Character string or Connection variable

Connection to a database. This connection corresponds to:
the name of the connection defined in the data model editor or with HDescribeConnection or HOpenConnection.
the name of a variable of type Connection.
This parameter must correspond to the name of the connection enclosed in quotes. No Connection variable can be used.

Remarks

The description of the connection must be known whenHCloseConnection is executed.
