Syntax
<Result> = StringFormat(<String> , <Options>)
<Result>: Character string
String formatted according to the selected criteria.
<String>: Character string (with quotes)
Character string to format.
WINDEVWEBDEV - Server code You can use a character string in Unicode format.
Linux You cannot use character strings in Unicode format.
<Options>: Constant or combination of constants
Formatting options:
ccUpCaseConverts the string to uppercase characters (including accented characters).
ccLowCaseConverts the string to lowercase characters.
ccNormalNo formatting is performed.
ccIgnoreAccentFormat without accented characters.
ccIgnoreSpaceThe following characters are deleted at the beginning and at the end of the string:
  • space (character 32)
  • tab (character 9)
  • carriage return (character 13) and line feed (character 10)
  • control characters 11 and 12

Remarks

StringFormat and UNICODE

If the string passed as a parameter is in ANSI format, the result will be in ANSI format.
If the string passed in parameter is in UNICODE format, the result will be in UNICODE format.
Remark: If the result on an ANSI string is assigned to a UNICODE string (and conversely), the conversion will be implicitly performed.
