Overview
The generation creates the WINDEV classes (".WDC" files) that correspond to the classes created in the UML editor.
You can:
  • generate a single class.
  • generate all the classes of the diagram.
A class diagram can also be generated using reverse engineering. For more details, see Generating a class diagram using reverse engineering.

To generate a single class:
  1. Select the class to generate.
  2. Click . The UML generation window opens.
  3. The current class is:
    • in the upper table if it is the first time the class is generated. This class will be automatically created by the UML generation.
    • in the lower table if the class has already been created. This class will be automatically recreated by the UML generation.
  4. Validate the generation of the UML class.

Generating all the classes of the diagram

To generate all the classes of the diagram:
  1. Select "Generate UML model" in the context menu of the editor (or click ). The UML generation window opens.
  2. This window shows:
    • in the upper table, the classes that have never been generated. These classes will be automatically created by the UML generation.
    • in the lower table, the classes that have already been created. These classes will be automatically re-created by the UML generation.
