InvalidInputMessage (Property)

The InvalidInputMessage property gets and sets the message that will be displayed if the control contains invalid data (input mask or value out of bounds). If the property is empty, a default string will be used.
Example
EDT_ProductRef.InvalidInputMessage = "Please use the standard product reference format"
Syntax

Getting the message displayed if the control contains invalid data Hide the details

<Result> = <Control used>.InvalidInputMessage
<Result>: Character string
  • Error message displayed if the control contains invalid data,
  • Empty string if the default error message is used ("Invalid input").
<Control used>: Control name
Name of the control used:
  • Edit control.
  • Combo Box control.

Setting the message displayed if the input is invalid Hide the details

<Control used>.InvalidInputMessage = <Message>
<Control used>: Control name
Name of the control used:
  • Edit control.
  • Combo Box control.
<Message>: Character string
  • Error message displayed if the control contains invalid data,
  • Empty string if the default error message is used ("Invalid input").
