MandatoryInputMessage (Property)

The MandatoryInputMessage property is used to identify and set the message that will be displayed if the control is left empty (when the MandatoryInput property is enabled).
Example
EDT_DateBirth.MandatoryInputMessage = ...
"Enter your date of birth. We'll wish you a Happy Birthday"
Syntax

Identifying the message displayed if the input is required Hide the details

<Result> = <Control used>.MandatoryInputMessage
<Result>: Character string
  • Error message displayed if the input is required (MandatoryInput property set to True),
  • Empty string if the default error message is used ("Required input").
<Control used>: Control name
Name of control used. This control can be:
  • an edit control,
  • a Check Box control,
  • a Radio Button control,
  • a Combo Box control,
  • a Rating control.
