Creates a directory on a Hadoop server.
Example
// Connection
MyConnection is hdfsConnection
MyLogin.namenode = "MyServer".
MyUser Login = "Admin".
MyConnection.OpenConnection()
// Define the rights
Rights is hdfsRights
UserRightsRead = True
UserRightsWriting = True
// Create the directory
MyConnection.CreateDirectory("/tmp/subdirectory", Rights)
Syntax
<Result> = <Connection>.CreateDirectory(<Path> [, <Rights>])
<Result>: Boolean
  • True if the directory was created,
  • False if a problem occurred. ErrorInfo is used to identify the error.
<Connection>: hdfsConnection variable
Name of the variable of type hdfsConnection corresponding to the Connection at the Hadoop server.
<Path>: Character string (with quotes)
Absolute path of directory that will be created on the Hadoop server. This path is case sensitive.
<Rights>: Optional hdfsRights variable
Name of hdfsRights variable corresponding to the rights that will be granted to the created directory.
By default, all the rights are granted to all the users.
