Administrator: Setting and executing action plans
Once action plan libraries have been published, they and their associated action plans appear in the "Warehouse" tab of the software factory administrator's screen. To implement the action plans, you need: - configure action plans (i.e. customize them for use),
- configure their activation mode.
These operations are performed in the Software Factory administrator. Remarks:- You also have the ability to directly run an action plan from a WINDEV application or from a WEBDEV website with ActionPlanExecute.
- You also have the ability to configure the execution of an action plan from a WINDEV application or from a WEBDEV website with ActionPlanConfigure.
Configuring the action plans In most cases, the action plans can be configured, especially the name of the project. Therefore, the same action plan can be re-used for different projects. Setting up an action plan means creating an instance of the action plan for a specific run. To configure an action plan: - Launch the software factory administrator: under the "Tools" pane, in the "Utilities" group, click on "WDFAdmin".
- In the window that is displayed, specify the name of the coordinator to which the administrator must connect.
- The Software Factory administrator starts. The action plan parameters can be set as required:
- from the "Action plans" tab.
- Click on "Use an action plan".
- Select the action plan to be set up and validate.
- from the "Warehouse" tab.
- Select the action plan to configure and click the "Configure the action plan" button
- Click on "Set action plan".
- Select the action plan to be set up and validate.
- In the window that is displayed, you have the ability to specify:
- The name of the setting. In fact, each action plan setting corresponds to an action plan instance. It is advisable to give the action plan an explicit name and a description of its parameters.
- The value of the parameters ("Parameters" tab).
- The maximum duration for running the action plan, expressed in minutes ("Parameters" tab).
- The recipients of the notifications ("Notifications" tab).
- Labels of automations authorized to execute the action plan ("Labels" tab).
- Validate.
- The action plan that was configured appears in the "Action plans" tab.
Remark: By default, the "Action plans" tab of the software factory administrator displays only "current" developer action plans.. To see the action plans of all the developers, all you have to do is select "All" in the "Action plans of " control. Define the trigger for an action plan The configured action plan can be triggered on demand or at set intervals. To define the triggering of a set action plan: - Launch the software factory administrator: under the "Tools" pane, in the "Utilities" group, click on "WDFAdmin".
- In the window that is displayed, specify the name of the coordinator to which the administrator must connect.
- The Software Factory administrator starts.
- Display the "Action plans" tab and select the action plan you wish to set up.
- It is possible to:
- launch the action plan directly ("Execute action plan" button). In this case, the set action plan is automatically placed in the action plan execution spool.
- schedule the execution of the action plan ("Schedule action plan" button). A wizard starts, allowing you to describe all the scheduling options.
Note: Planning can also be carried out via the action plan settings window.
Please note If you have used parameters when describing your action plans, don't forget to specify the parameters to be executed (see previous paragraph). If you have scheduled the execution of a parameterized action plan, the schedule appears in the "Schedules" tab of the software factory administrator. A checkmark displayed in front of the scheduling means that the scheduling is enabled. Execution on a robot A robot will be chosen to run an action plan. The compilation computer (robot computer) must have a version of WINDEV, WEBDEV or WINDEV Mobile corresponding to the project to compile. During the execution, WINDEV, WEBDEV or WINDEV Mobile opens and switches to "software factory" mode. In this case, it is important not to handle the computer on which the robot is run to avoid distorting the results (by moving the mouse during a unit test for example). Note: The Software Factory administrator can monitor the execution of action plans using the action plan execution spool ("PLCs" tab). An action plan may have priority. The order of action plans in the spool can be modified via the arrow buttons. Reusing the action plans An action plan can be reused by as many projects and developers as required: simply create a new action plan with the same parameters. Result of the action plans In the parameters of action plan, you can: - define the method used to send the status report of the action plan (messaging of Control Centers, email, etc.).
- see the result of the last execution.
