Environment of the window editor

The main elements of the window editor of WINDEV are as follows:


	Ribbon Gives quick access to the main features of window editor.
	Alignment rulers Used to align the controls in the window. To display the rulers, press Ctrl + R.
	Modifier Displays the characteristics of the selected control. All the characteristics are listed by category or by name in the modifier.
	Selected control Control currently modified. Black handles are used to easily identify the selected control. For more details, see Select one or more controls.
	Anchoring The red arrows indicate the anchoring of the control. Reminder: The anchoring is used to manage the position of the control when the window is resized.
	Dockable panes Displays: the shortcuts to the main features available in the current editor ("Commands" pane). the most common features ("Commands" pane). the elements (windows, reports, controls, ...) available in the current project ("Project explorer" pane). ...
	"Window position preview" pane Allows you to view and/or modify the position of the windows currently modified, when they are opened (according to the screen resolution).
	Description window Used to view and/or modify the characteristics: of selected controls. of the selected window. The information displayed is identical to the information displayed in the modifier.
	Dockable panes Panes used to: display the code elements (list of classes, local or global procedures, "Code" pane), display the compilation errors (errors found in the WLanguage code, "Compilation errors" pane), perform searches ("Find - Replace" pane), display the debugger during the test of an element ("Debugger" pane), ...
