Duplicates the database associated with a connection on an HFSQL server. The tables, the rights, the procedures and the triggers are duplicated.
Example

MyConnection is Connection
 
MyConnection.DuplicateDatabase("MyCopiedDatabase")
Syntax
<Result> = <Connection>.DuplicateDatabase(<Duplicated database> [, <Progress Bar>])
<Result>: Boolean
  • True if the database was duplicated.
  • False if an error occurred. HError is used to identify the error.
<Connection>: Connection variable
Name of the Connection variable that describes the connection associated with the database to duplicate.
<Duplicated database>: Character string
Name of the new database to create (copy of the current database).
Remarks:
  • The new database to create must not exist.
  • A WLanguage error occurs if the new database already exists.
<Progress Bar>: Optional window or control name
  • Name of the window in which the progress bar will be displayed.
  • Name of Progress Bar control used to display the progress.
WEBDEV - Server code This option is not available.
Remarks

Use conditions

To duplicate a database, the user must have:
  • the rights to perform backups.
  • the rights to create databases.
