Warning
From version 18, the framesets are available for backward compatibility with the former sites. However, they are not supported in HTML 5 and they are not recommended for the referencing and/or for the navigation from mobile devices.
We advise you to replace the framesets by pages that share page templates and/or control templates.
Overview
WEBDEV proposes several methods for creating a frameset:
Creating a blank frameset
To create a blank frameset:
  1. Create a blank page ("File .. New .. Page .. Blank") and validate.
  2. Select "Frame .. New blank frameset".
  3. Add if necessary) frames to this frameset ("Frame .. Vertical split" or "Frame .. Horizontal split".
  4. Save the frameset ("Frame .. Save the frameset") and specify the name of each page found in the frameset as well as the name of the frameset.
    The pages and the frameset correspond to ".WWH" files. By default, these files are created in the main directory of the project.
  5. Associate the frames with pages. See Associating a frame with a page for more details.
Note: It is important to specify the type of the frameset (static or dynamic) according to the type of pages displayed ("General" of the frameset description). See Static frameset and dynamic frameset for more details.

    • Select "File .. New .. Page". Click among the quick access buttons. Click "Page" in the wheel that is displayed. The wizard for page creation starts.The window for creating a new element is displayed: click "Page" then "Page". The wizard for page creation starts.
    • click "Page" then "Blank".
    • Validate.
  2. Select "Page .. Frame .. New blank frameset".On the "Page" pane, in the "Edit" group, expand "Frame" and select "New blank frameset".
  3. Add if necessary) frames to this frameset ("Page .. Frame .. Vertical split" or "Frame .. Horizontal split".Add (if necessary) frames to this frameset:
