Handling a WEBDEV Slider control by programming
Overview
WEBDEV allows you to handle a Slider control by programming. To do so, use the variable of the Slider control in the code.
The variable of the Slider control:
  • corresponds to the name of the slider.
  • is initialized with the position of the slider cursor.
Retrieving the cursor position
To retrieve the position of a linear slider, use the following syntax:
<Position> = <Slider Name>
<Position> is an integer variable that corresponds to the cursor position.
Notes:
  • For a range slider, <Position> corresponds to the position of the main cursor (cursor of the lower value).
  • You also have the ability to use ..Value.
To retrieve the positions of a range slider, you must use ..LowerValue and ..UpperValue:
<Lower Position> = <Slider Name>..LowerValue
<Upper Position> = <Slider Name>..UpperValue
<Lower Position> and <Upper Position> are integer variables.
Modifying the cursor position
To modify the position of a linear slider, use the following syntax:
<Slider Name> = <Value>
<Value> is a value included between the minimum value and the maximum value of the slider. These values have been described in the description window of the control or by programming with ..MinValue and ..MaxValue.
Note: You also have the ability to use ..Value.
To modify the position of a range slider, use the following syntax:
<Slider Name>..LowerValue = <Position of Main Cursor>
<Slider Name>..UpperValue = <Position of Secondary Cursor>
<Position of Main Cursor> and <Position of Secondary Cursor> are values included between the minimum value and the maximum value of the slider. These values have been described in the description window of the control or by programming with ..MinValue and ..MaxValue.
