Overview
The first project window corresponds to the first window that will be opened when starting the WINDEV or WINDEV Mobile application.
This window is also the first window that will be opened during the project test on the development computer.
How to define the first project window?
WINDEV proposes several methods for defining and choosing the first project window:
Remark: The first project window is also requested during the project test, if no window was defined. For more details, see Running the test of a project.

Defining the first project window in the "Project explorer" pane

To define the first project window:
  1. In the "Project explorer" pane, select the window that will be defined as first window.
  2. Open the popup menu of the window (right click) and select "First project window".

The First Window icon icon is used to identify the first project window in the "Project explorer" pane.
Remark: If the project includes several configurations, a first window can be defined for each configuration. Simply:
  1. Select the desired project configuration in the project explorer.
  2. Define the first project window in the popup menu of the project explorer.

Defining the first window in the configuration description

To define the first window in the project description:
  1. Open the project description: on the "Project" pane, in the "Project" group, click "Description".
  2. In the "General" tab, click "Description of current configuration".
  3. The description window of the current configuration is displayed.
  4. In the "General" tab, the "First project window" list allows you to select the first project window.

Defining the first window during the project test

To run the test of a project from the editor:
  1. On the "Project" pane, in the "Test mode" group, expand "Test mode" and select "Debug the project" (Ctrl + F9). You can also click in the quick access buttons.
  2. If the first project window was not defined, a window is displayed, allowing you to select the first project window.
  3. The editor is automatically minimized and the project is run.
