Monitoring robot: General check parameters
The general parameters of the check must be defined when creating or modifying a check. These parameters are used to define:
Check activation options
The check activation options allow you to determine and define:
  • if the check is enabled,
  • on which date the check should be automatically reactivated.
Remark: You can easily disable a check via the context menu ("Disable check"). This option disables the check:
  • for 1 day,
  • for 1 week,
  • for 1 month,
  • for a custom time interval. In this case, a window allows you to specify when the check should be reactivated.
  • indefinitely.
Models and scheduling options
The scheduling options are used to define when the check is performed.
These scheduling options are defined in a check model. Check models are used to quickly create multiple checks with the same scheduling options.
Error processing options

Message content

The error processing options allow you to define:
  • the custom message to be shown in the error report.
  • the recommended solution to solve the problem.
  • the recipient of the error reports with the severity level for that recipient.
Example of message:
2 Network Alert(s) | Maximum priority: Normal
Priority: Normal
Category: FTP
Check: FTP Reports and Queries (xxxx) (# 38)
Error connecting to the FTP server
Failure connecting to the FTP server "" on port 21 with the username.
The last server response is:

Internal details:
- Syntax:
Address of FTP server:
Connection port: 21
Connection in passive mode: True
File to find: /wx11/latest/WD280PACKER.exe
Max number of users for check: 0
Download file: False

Recipients of error reports

For each check (test), you can define the recipients of the error reports, with the level of severity for each recipient. For example, an check with errors may be important for one person and minor for another.
These recipients can be:
  • a user.
  • New in version 28
a group of recipients. In this case, all the users in the group will receive the error report.
To add a check recipient:
  1. Click "+".
  2. In the window that appears, select the group or user and confirm.
  3. The selected user or group appears in the list of recipients. By default, the level of severity is set to "Error".
  4. Change the level of severity for the user if necessary. The levels of severity are:
    • Debugging,
    • Information,
    • Notification,
    • Warning,
    • Error,
    • Critical error.
  • The characteristics of the users can be defined in the user management window (for more details, see Managing users).
  • New in version 28
The groups and the list of associated users are defined in the group management window (for more details, see User group settings).

Program to start if an error occurs

For each test, you have the ability to define a specific program that will be started if an error occurs. This program must be accessible from the setup computer of the robot. A command line can be specified.
