Project Management Hub: Tag Management
Tags are used to associate keywords with incidents in the Project Management Hub. Using tags allows you to filter, classify or even generate statistics on the various incidents associated with a project, a requirement, ... Managing tags You can manage tags in the "Incidents" tab of the Project Management Hub. To open the tag management window in the Project Management Hub: - Open the "Incidents" tab.
- In the ribbon, in the "Management" group, click "Tags".
- The tag management window is displayed.
This window is used to:
- define tags: creation, modification, ...
- view the distribution of incidents by tag.
Creating, editing, deleting a tag To create a tag: - Open the "Incidents" tab.
- In the ribbon, in the "Management" group, click "Tags".
- On the "List of tags" tab, click "+". The tag creation window is displayed: In this window, you must indicate:
- The tag name (required). This name will be used to identify the tag. The name must not contain spaces.
- Tag description (optional): Allows you to describe the tag's conditions of use..
- The tag visibility:
- If the tag is public, all contributors will be able to see it.
- If the tag is private, only the owner will be able to see it.
- Tag color: to quickly identify elements associated with a tag. This parameter is mandatory.
- Validate. The new tag appears immediately in the tag list.
To edit a tag: - Open the "Incidents" tab.
- In the ribbon, in the "Management" group, click "Tags".
- On the "List of tags" tab, select a tag and click the modification button:
. The tag description window is displayed. - In this window, you can modify:
- The different characteristics of a private tag. The tag can be changed to public. It is also possible to change the owner of a private tag (note: in this case, the tag will no longer appear in the tag list)..
- The different characteristics of a public tag. However, a public tag cannot be changed to a private tag.
- Validate. Changes are automatically applied.
To delete a tag: - Open the "Incidents" tab.
- In the ribbon, in the "Management" group, click "Tags".
- On the "List of tags" tab, select a tag and click "-".
- A confirmation is requested and the tag is deleted. If the tag is associated with one or more incidents, the association will also be deleted.
Associating a tag with an incident There are multiple ways to associate a tag with an incident: - from the incident details window.
- from the list of incidents.
- from the incident creation window in WDBal.
Note: Depending on the message text corresponding to the incident, tags are automatically suggested.
Note: All additions or deletions of a public tag to an incident are noted in the incident history.. Filtering incidents using tags To filter the incidents with a given a tag: - Open the "Incidents" tab.
- In the "Filter" section above the list of incidents:
- Indicate the tag(s) to be taken into account.
- Indicate the filter to be used by clicking the link.
- The result is shown immediately.
Viewing the distribution of incidents by tag To view the distribution of incidents by tag: - Open the "Incidents" tab.
- In the ribbon, in the "Management" group, click "Tags".
- In the window that appears, go to the "Distribution of incidents by tag" tab.
This window shows the distribution of incidents by tag, according to sort criteria. A context menu allows you to perform the following operations:
- Hide tag.
- Edit tag.
- Show the list of incidents. In this case, a new "Incidents" tab will be opened in the Project Management Hub, containing only the incidents that have the selected tag.
This window allows you to filter the displayed tags: - Assign tags,
- Author
- Set of incidents,
- Type of incident,
- Status,
- Private or public tags,
- Incidents without tags.
