Deletes a data series from a chart. The data found in the series is deleted.
Caution: The remaining series will be re-numbered. For example, if the series 1 is deleted, the series 2 becomes the series 1, ...
Linux Caution: A specific configuration is required to use this function in Linux. For more details, see The charts.
// Delete the second data series from "MyChart"
grDeleteSeries("MyChart", 2)
// Delete the third data series from "CHART_MyChart"
grDeleteSeries(CHART_MyChart, 3)
grDeleteSeries(<Chart name> [, <Series number> [, <Options>]])
<Chart name>: Control name or character string
Name of chart defined by grCreate or name of Chart control.
Android Only Chart controls are available.
PHP Only the interactive Chart controls are available.
<Series number>: Optional integer
Number of the series to delete. If this parameter is not specified, the entire data is erased from the chart.
<Options>: Integer constant
Type of deletion to perform:
grDataDelete data from the series.
(Default value)
Delete data and style from the series.
  • If all the chart series are deleted, new data must be added in order to redraw the chart.
  • The modifications performed by grDeleteSeries will be taken into account during the next call to grDraw.
  • For a series based on an item, the data is erased. The data source is stored and the data can be rebuilt. To cut the link to the source, use grSourceSeries and modify the source of the series.
