Initializes the label of a data series in a chart.
Example of series label:
To display the label, use grLegend.
Reminder: By default, a chart has no label. For more details about the management of legends, labels, ... see Managing legends in the charts.
// Initialize the "Sales" label of second data series in "MyChart"
grSeriesLabel("MyChart", 2, "Sales")
// Initialize the "Sales" label of second data series in CHART_MyChart
grSeriesLabel(CHART_MyChart, 2, "Sales")
grSeriesLabel(<Chart name> , <Series number> , <Label>)
<Chart name>: Character string (with or without quotes)
Name of chart to use. This name corresponds to:
  • the chart name defined by programming with grCreate.
  • the name of Chart control found in the window editor, page editor or report editor.
<Series number>: Integer
Number of the series for which a label will be initialized.
<Label>: Character string (with quotes)
Caption of label to initialize.

Series labels

The set of series labels correspond to the chart legend.
Series labels cannot be used in pie charts.
Series labels are defined by grSeriesLabel.
The data defined by grSeriesLabel will be taken into account during the next call to grDraw.
The legend font can be modified by grLegendFont.
grLegend is used to indicate the existence and the position of the legend (i.e. of all the series labels).
Remark: To define series labels in "Scatter" charts, we recommend that you use grScatterSeriesLabel.

grSeriesLabel is equivalent to ..Legend.
