RecordSize (Property)

..RecordSize is used to find out and modify the size (in bytes) of a record found in:
  • a data file described in the data model editor,
  • a data file described by programming,
  • a HFSQL view,
  • a query.
This size is calculated while ignoring the composite keys.

Syntax
<Size> = <Element name>..RecordSize
<Size>: Integer
Size of the record (in bytes) while ignoring the composite keys.
<Element name>: Character string (with or without quotes)
Name of the element for which the size of a record is requested:
  • name of a data file described in the data model editor or by programming,
  • name of a HFSQL view,
  • name of a query.
