InitialItem (Property)

..InitialItem is used to find out the initial name of an item found in a query. This name is known from the alias of this item.
Note: ..InitialFile is used to find out the initial name of the data file associated with an item found in a query. This name is known from the alias of this item.
Note: From version 19, HFSQL is the new name of HyperFileSQL.
Example
SampleQuery is Data Source
HExecuteSQLQuery("SampleQuery", "SELECT Customer.CustName AS MySuperCustomer FROM Customer")
Trace(SampleQuery.MySuperCustomer..InitialFile) // Customer
Trace(SampleQuery.MySuperCustomer..InitialItem) // CustName
Syntax
<Result> = <Query name>.<Name of item alias>..InitialItem
<Result>: Character string
  • Initial name of the item associated with the alias of the item,
  • Empty string ("") if the alias of the item is an aggregate or if it corresponds to a counter.
<Query name>: Character string (with or without quotes)
Name of the query containing the item. This parameter can also correspond to the name of an HFSQL data file, to the name of an HFSQL view, etc.
<Name of item alias>: Character string (with or without quotes)
Name of the item in the result of the query (or in the data file, view, etc.).
