The DescribedName property is used to handle the logical name of HFSQL data files (ignoring possible changes made by HAlias). You can:
  • Find out the logical name of an element:
    • data file defined in the data model editor or through programming,
    • view,
    • query
  • Define the logical name of a data file (when the file is described through programming).

Defining the logical name of a data file created through programming Hide the details

<Data file>.DescribedName = <New name>
<Data file>: Character string
Logical name of the data file used. This name was defined by the File Description type.
<New name>: Character string
Logical name of the element.
