The InitialAnimation property is used to determine the initial status of an animation in an Image, Button, Static or Carousel control. The initial status corresponds to the animation status defined when describing the control ("Details" tab).

Syntax
<Status> = <Control used>.InitialAnimation
<Status>: Boolean
  • True if the image found in the Image, Button or Carousel control (or the text found in the Static control) is animated at creation,
  • False otherwise.
The animation is set to True by default.
<Control used>: Control name
Name of control used.

Animating an image

To animate the image displayed in the Image control, this image can be:
  • an animated image (animated Gif for example).
  • an image animated by WINDEV. In this case, the type of animation can be chosen in the description window of Image control ("Details" tab) or by programming with AnimationSetMode.
Animated image in a Button control: Only an animated image can be associated with the control (Animated Gif, for example).

Animated text in a Static control

To animate the text displayed in a Static control, you must choose the animation:
  • in the description window of Static control ("Details" tab),
  • by programming with AnimationSetMode.

Limits

The InitialAnimation property only applies to:
  • Windows Mobile Image and Button controls in a window.
  • Java Static controls in a window.

  • Version 9
