You may want to insert images into the help pages to explain the operations to perform, to describe the buttons to use, ...
In addition to "simple" images, you have the ability to insert clickable images into the help pages: when the user clicks the image (or a section of the image), a specific help page can be displayed (as a page or as a popup).
How to proceed?

Inserting an image

To insert an image into a help page:
  1. In the help page, position the cursor where the image must be inserted.
  2. Select:
    • "Insert an image" from the popup menu of the help page to insert a specific image file.
    • "Insert a clipart" from the popup menu of the help page to insert an image found in the image catalog of WINDEV.
  3. The image description window appears:

  4. To define clickable areas in this image:
    • Click the "New" button.
    • Define the link associated with the clickable area. See Properties of a link for more details.
    • Define the clickable area either with the mouse, or with the "Clickable area parameters" controls.

  5. Validate. The image is included in the help page. It can be resized with the selection handles.

Displaying the properties of an image

To display the properties of an image:
  1. Select the image.
  2. Select "Image properties" from the popup menu.

Deleting an image

To delete an image:
  1. Select the image.
  2. Press the Del key on the keyboard.
