  • Find out whether a control or a group of controls is editable or read-only.
  • Modify the input options for a control or for a group of controls.

Syntax

Finding out whether a control or a group of controls is editable Hide the details

<Result> = <Element Name>..InputEnabled
<Result>: Boolean
  • True if the control or the group of controls is editable,
  • False otherwise.
<Element Name>: Character string (with or without quotes)
Name of control or group of controls to use.

Modify the input options for a control or for a group of controls Hide the details

<Element Name>..InputEnabled = <New value>
<Element Name>: Character string (with or without quotes)
Name of control or group of controls to use.
<New value>: Boolean
  • True if the control or the group of controls must be editable,
  • False otherwise.
Remarks

Limits

..InputEnabled only applies to:
  • the edit controls,
  • the Table controls,
  • the Looper controls,
  • the groups of controls.

Special cases

  • Equivalence: ..InputEnabled set to True is equivalent to ..State equal to the Active constant except for the read-only controls that keep their "read-only" status.
  • For the Table and Looper controls, ..InputEnabled is used to switch from the "with input" mode to the "without input" mode.
