CompactToolbar (Property)

..CompactToolbar is used to:
  • find out whether the toolbars found in the window are compacted.
  • compact (or not) the toolbars.
Compressing the toolbars consists in removing the space characters when:
  • an option of the toolbar becomes visible or invisible. The toolbar is automatically resized when an option becomes invisible.
  • a toolbar becomes visible or invisible. The other toolbars are automatically repositioned when a toolbar becomes invisible to avoid leaving free space.
  • a toolbar is docked or undocked.
The toolbars are not compacted if the bars are moved by the user while still being docked.
Remark: This property corresponds to the "Compact the toolbars" option available in the "Details" tab of the window description.

Finding out whether the toolbars are compacted Hide the details

<Result>: Boolean
  • True if the toolbars of the window are compacted,
  • False otherwise.
<Window name>: Character string (with or without quotes)
Name of window used.

Defining the compression of the toolbars Hide the details

<Window name>: Character string (with or without quotes)
Name of window used.
<Compact>: Boolean
  • True if the toolbars of the window must be compacted,
  • False otherwise.
