The gglAdWMobileAd type is used to describe a Google AdWords marketing ad whose type is "Mobile ad". The mobile ads are text AdWords ads appearing on the mobile Web sites or when a Web user performs a search on Google from a cell phone.
The characteristics of this mobile ad can be defined and modified by several WLanguage properties.

Properties specific to the description of gglAdWMobileAd variables

The following properties can be used to handle a mobile ad:
NameType usedEffect
CountryCodeCharacter stringCountry of the ad. Used to check the format of phone number.
ExemptionRequestCharacter stringText used to explain why the ad does not comply with the use conditions of the service (up to 300 characters). This text can also be used to ask for an exception to this violation.
DescriptionCharacter stringText of ad (up to 18 characters, 9 Japanese characters or 12 Japanese characters if the campaign is targeted for Japan).
  • True if the ad was disapproved by Google,
  • False otherwise. This property is available in read-only.
StateString constantCurrent status of ad.
The available values are:
  • gglActive: The ad is active.
  • gglPaused: The ad is paused.
  • gglDeleted: The ad is deleted.
IdentifierCharacter stringIdentifier of the ad. This identifier is associated with the ad by the Google AdWords service when creating the ad. This property is available in read-only.
GroupIdentifierCharacter stringIdentifier of ad group to which the ad belongs. This property can be used in write mode when creating the ad only. In the other cases, this property is available in read-only.
MarkupLanguageCharacter stringCodes of languages that will be used for the mobile ad, separated by CR characters (Carriage Return). This property is mandatory. The possible languages are as follows:
  • HTML
  • WML
BusinessNameCharacter stringName of company for the ad (up to 20 characters and 10 Japanese characters for ads targeted for Japan).
MobileCarrierCharacter stringList of mobile carriers to use. The elements of this list must be in the "Name@country" format, separated by CR characters (Carriage Return). To specify that all carriers can be used, use the "ALLCARRIERS" keyword.
This property must necessarily be specified.
TitleCharacter stringHeader of the ad. This title cannot exceed 18 characters or 9 Japanese characters (except for campaigns that only target Japan for which 12 Japanese characters can be used).
TypeCharacter stringType of ad. This property is available in read-only.
The type of a mobile ad is "MobileAd".
PhoneNumberCharacter stringPhone number associated with the ad. This property is optional. If this property is specified, the phone number can be automatically dialed on the cell phone of the user.
DisplayedURLCharacter stringURL displayed in the ad (up to 35 characters). In this URL, there is no need to specify "http://". For example: "mysite.com".
DestinationURLCharacter stringURL associated with the ad (up to 1024 characters). This URL must have the following format: http://Name-of-domain. For example: "http://www.mysite.com". When the URL is clicked, the corresponding page will be displayed in the browser of Web user.
Note: These properties can be handled by using one of the following syntaxes:
  • <Variable name>..<Property name>
  • <Variable name>.<Property name>

Mobile ads

A mobile ad can contain:
  • A phone number that can be immediately called when clicking the ad.
  • A link to a Web site.
  • Both possibilities.
The table below presents the different properties that must be specified according to the type of mobile ad.
