Modifies the specified item of the current document in Lotus Notes. If the specified Lotus Notes item does not exist, this item is added to the items of the current document.
To take this modification into account, the document must be saved by NotesSave.
Example

Syntax

Modifying a simple Lotus Notes item Hide the details

<Result> = NotesModifyItem(<Session identifier> , <Lotus Notes item> , <New value>)
<Result>: Boolean
  • True if the Lotus Notes item was modified,
  • False otherwise.
If an error occurs, the ErrorOccurred variable is set to True. To get more details on the error, use ErrorInfo with the errMessage constant.
<Session identifier>: Integer
Session ID to be used. This identifier is returned by EmailStartNotesSession or NotesOpenDatabase.
<Lotus Notes item>: Character string
Name of the Lotus Notes item whose value must be modified. The Lotus Notes item is added if it does not exist.
To know the name and type of the items in the current Notes document, use NotesListItem.
<New value>: Type of the modified Lotus Notes item
New value for the specified Lotus Notes item.
