- Existence of the transposed matrix
- Identical matrices
MatTranspose (Function) In french: MatTranspose Calculates the transposed matrix. The transposed matrix is obtained by switching the rows into columns. if the source matrix is a matrix containing n rows and m columns, the transposed matrix is a matrix containing m rows and n columns.
// Transposed matrix ResTranspose = MatTranspose("MyMatrix", "MyTransposedMatrix") Syntax
<Result> = MatTranspose(<Matrix to transpose> , <Transposed matrix>)
<Result>: Boolean - True if the transposed matrix was calculated,
- False otherwise. To get more details on the error, use ErrorInfo with the errMessage constant.
<Matrix to transpose>: Character string Name of the matrix to transpose, defined by MatCreate. <Transposed matrix>: Character string Name of the transposed matrix, automatically created when calculating the transposed matrix. Remarks Existence of the transposed matrix The matrix existence is not checked. This matrix is overwritten if it existed beforehand. To check the matrix existence, use MatExist. A WLanguage error occurs if <Matrix to transpose> and <Transposed matrix> are identical.
