Step 4: Starting the print
Overview
To actually start the print, all you have to do is call iEndPrinting.
Printing via infrared
Windows Mobile If the computer (PC or Pocket PC) and the associated printer are equipped with an infrared port, the print is performed during the call to iEndPrinting.
Reminder: The printer used was selected by iDestination, iParameter or iConfigure.
Printing via the network
Windows Mobile If the Pocket PC is equipped with an Ethernet card or Wi-Fi, the print is performed during the call to iEndPrinting.
Reminder: The network printer used was selected by iDestination, iParameter or iConfigure.
Printing via a PCL file
Windows Mobile WINDEV and WEBDEV also allow you to print via a PCL file (Printer Control Language).
To perform this type of print:
  1. Specify the PCL file to create (iDestination).
For example, on the Pocket PC:
    iDestination(iPCL, "\MyDocuments\MyFile.PCL")
  2. From the Pocket PC, copy the created PCL file onto a PC (file explorer or ceCopyFile for example).
  3. Copy the PCL file from the PC to the printer that will be used.
    For example:
    • by fCopyFile.
    • by entering a command line (in "Start .. Run" of Windows).
      Copy "<PCLFile>" "<PrinterUsed>"
Note: The user can also create a PCL file from the window for printer configuration (iConfigure or iParameter).
