Removes the "/"' or "\"' character found at the end of a string.
This function is useful for handling full file names when the format of the path is not known with certainty (if the user enters a file path for instance).

  • Source character string not ending with "\" or "/",
  • Empty string ("") if <String to check> corresponds to an empty string ("").
<String to check>: Character string (with quotes)

Remarks

Space characters

Caution: The space characters found before and after <String to check> are deleted (identical to NoSpace).

UncompleteDir and UNICODE

  • If the string passed in parameter is in ANSI format, the result will be in ANSI format.
  • If the string passed in parameter is in UNICODE format, the result will be in UNICODE format.
Note: No compilation error occurs if the result of an ANSI string is assigned to a UNICODE string (and conversely). However, a WLanguage error will occur at run time.
