Calculates a unique identifier (integer) for an executable or for a session. This data is not stored: it is lost at the end of the execution of the application or session.

Generated identifier. The first call to GetIdentifier returns 1, the second one returns 2, ...
Remarks

Limits

  • The generated identifier is an integer, therefore it is limited to 231. The identifier becomes negative if this limit is exceeded.
  • GetIdentifier must be used in the main thread. It cannot be used in a parallel task.
