Extended (Property)

..Extended is used to:
  • Find out whether a Font variable is extended.
  • Extend (or not) a Font variable.
Note: The stretching of characters in a font can be:
  • Normal: the width of characters is normal.
  • Condensed: the width of characters is reduced (..Condensed)
  • Extended: the width of characters is increased.
  • Large: the width of characters is increased to the maximum (..Large)

Finding out whether a Font variable is extended Hide the details

<Result> = <Font Name>..Extended
<Result>: Boolean
  • True if the specified font is extended,
  • False otherwise.
<Font Name>: Character string (with or without quotes)
Name of Font variable to use.

Extending (or not) a Font variable Hide the details

<Font Name>..Extended = <Extended/Not extended>
<Font Name>: Character string (with or without quotes)
Name of Font variable to use.
<Extended/Not extended>: Boolean
  • True if the specified font must be extended,
  • False otherwise.

A font can be created from a Font variable.
To define the font characteristics, use:

Limits

The properties used to define the stretching of characters (..Condensed, ..Extended and ..Large) are supported only if the specified font variable is used for the print (print font or font of report controls).
In the other cases (font used for the drawings, the charts or the window controls), these characteristics are ignored.
