OLE DBAvailable only with this kind of connection
..CtDescribedUserName is used to configure the name of the user that will be used during the OLE DB connection to a specific table. You can:
  • Find out the user name that will be used for connecting a data file to a table by OLE DB (data file defined in the data model editor or by programming). This user name was specified during the description of the data file.
  • Define the user name that will be used for connecting a data file to a table by OLE DB (when the data file is described by programming).
Reminder: HConnect is used to redefine one or more parameters of the OLE DB connection to a table. By default, the characteristics of the OLE DB connection are defined in the data model editor during the description of the data file.

Finding out the name of the user Hide the details

<User name> = <File name>..CtDescribedUserName
<User name>: Character string
Name of the user of the OLE DB source, defined during the file description in the data model editor.
<File name>: Character string (with or without quotes)
Name of data file used. This name was defined in the data model editor or by the File description type.

Define the name of the user Hide the details

<File name>..CtDescribedUserName = <New user name>
<File name>: Character string (with or without quotes)
Name of data file used. This name was defined by the File description type.
<New user name>: Character string
Name of user of the OLE DB source.
Remarks
..CtUserName is used to find out and modify the user name specified for the OLE DB connection when using HConnect.
