15. Cookies: information stored on the computer of Web user

A cookie is a file stored on the user's computer by the WEBDEV site. This file can be read at any time from the server or by the browser. Cookies are used to store persistent information on the user's computer.
For example, various information is requested when a Web user connects to a site for the first time: user name, login, ... and it is stored on his computer. Next time the user logs in, the WEBDEV site will read this information in the cookie created during the first visit and will be able to greet the user personally on the first page.
