The InvalidInputMessage property is used to identify and set the message that will be displayed if the control contains invalid data (input mask or value out of bounds). If the property is empty, a default string will be used.

Syntax

Identifying the message displayed if the control contains invalid data Hide the details

<Result> = <Control used>.InvalidInputMessage
<Result>: Character string
  • Error message displayed if the control contains invalid data,
  • Empty string if the default error message is used ("Invalid input").
<Control used>: Control name
Name of control used:
  • Edit control.
  • Combo Box control.

Changing the message displayed if the input is invalid Hide the details
