Syntax

Deleting a shape via its associated variable Hide the details

<Result> = <Map control>.DeleteShape([<Shape>])
<Result>: Boolean
  • True if the shape was deleted,
  • False otherwise. To get the details of the error, use ErrorInfo.
<Map control>: Control name
Name of the Map control to be used.
<Shape>: MapCircle, MapPolygon or MapPolyline variable
Shape to be deleted on the map displayed in the Map control. This shape can be described using one of the following types of variables: If this parameter is not specified, all the shapes on the map will be deleted.

Deleting a shape via its name Hide the details

<Result> = <Map control>.DeleteShape(<Shape identifier>)
<Result>: Boolean
  • True if the shape was deleted,
  • False otherwise. To get the details of the error, use ErrorInfo.
<Map control>: Control name
Name of the Map control to be used.
<Shape identifier>: Character string
Identifier of the shape to delete. This identifier corresponds to the Name property of the variable associated with the shape. If this parameter is not specified, all the shapes on the map will be deleted.
