Transforms the crossed records (<Source>.Cross) found in a data file into deleted records. The space occupied by the crossed records is freed and it can be re-used during the next additions (<Source>.Add).
Reminder: A crossed record is inactive and it disappears from the index. The data found in this crossed record is not deleted (unlike <Source>.Delete).

// Delete all crossed records from "Customer"
Customer.Free()
Syntax
<Result> = <Source>.Free()
<Result>: Boolean
  • True if the record was deleted,
  • False if a problem occurs: the record is not deleted. HError is used to identify the error.
<Source>: Type corresponding to the specified source
Name of the data file used.
Remarks
This function is not suitable for the xBase files.
