Syntax

<Chart control>.AxisTitle(<Title> , <Axis direction>)

<Chart control>: Control name

Name of the Chart control in the window editor, page editor or report editor.

<Title>: Character string

Title of specified axis.

<Axis direction>: Constant

Orientation of axis to use:
grXCoordinate
(default value) Marks on X axis (horizontal axis).
grYCoordinate Marks on Y axis (vertical axis).
grSecondaryYCoordinate Marks on secondary Y axis (vertical axis).

Types of charts

Depending on the type of chart and on <Axis direction>, <Chart>.AxisTitle is taken into account or not:

Chart type	Horizontal axis	Vertical axis

Line chart	<Chart>.AxisTitle taken into account.	<Chart>.AxisTitle taken into account.
Stock chart (Candlestick and BarChart)	<Chart>.AxisTitle taken into account.	<Chart>.AxisTitle taken into account.
Column chart	<Chart>.AxisTitle taken into account.	<Chart>.AxisTitle taken into account.
Min/Max Stock chart	<Chart>.AxisTitle taken into account.	<Chart>.AxisTitle taken into account.
Scatter	<Chart>.AxisTitle taken into account.	<Chart>.AxisTitle taken into account.

The modifications performed by <Chart>.AxisTitle will be taken into account during the next call to <Chart>.Draw.

Title of axes

The title of chart axes can be displayed for the different axes.

The title of the chart axes is defined by <Chart>.AxisTitle. This function can also be used to position this title according to the requested axis. You cannot define the positioning and/or the orientation of the title in relation to the axis.

The font used for the chart title can be modified by <Chart>.AxisTitleFont.

Languages that use a non-Latin character set

<Chart>.AxisTitle will use the selected non-Latin character set only if the associated project configuration uses UNICODE strings at runtime.

To check the selected option in the current configuration:

On the "Project" pane, in the "Project configuration" group, click "Current configuration".
Display the "Unicode" tab: the option "Use UNICODE strings at runtime" must be checked.
Validate if necessary.
