PDFReaderSeekFirst (Function) In french: LecteurPDFRecherchePremier Initializes the search for a text in a PDF file displayed by the PDF Reader control and positions on the first occurrence found (from the current page). The text found is selected. // Seeks a text in a PDF Reader control and displays it PDFReaderSeekFirst(PDF_MyPDFReader, "company") // Finds the next element IF PDFReaderSeekNext(PDF_MyPDFReader) = False THEN Info("Search ended") END Â // Finds the previous element PDFReaderSeekPrevious(PDF_MyPDFReader) Syntax
<Result> = PDFReaderSeekFirst(<PDF Reader control> , <Text to find> [, <Options>])
<Result>: Boolean - True if the text was found in the document,
- False if the text was not found.
<PDF Reader control>: Control name Name of PDF Reader control to use. <Text to find>: Character string Text to find in the content of PDF Reader control. <Options>: Optional constant (or combination of constants) Search options: | | IgnoreCase | Case and accent insensitive search (ignores uppercase and lowercase differences). | WholeWord | Search for the whole word (enclosed in punctuation characters or in space characters). |
By default, the search is case-sensitive: the searched text and the text to find must have the same case. To perform a case-insensitive search, use the IgnoreCase constant. Remarks - The text and the specified search options are automatically taken into account by PDFReaderSeekNext and PDFReaderSeekPrevious run after PDFReaderSeekFirst.
- Starting with version 28, this function is not supported by 32-bit ARM processors. New PDF features require a 64-bit execution mode.
If an application is to be run on devices with 32-bit ARM processors, it must be generated with WINDEV Mobile 27.
