AAF: Popup menu of Image controls
Overview
A popup menu is available for the Image controls. This menu is used to:
  • Versions 23 and later
    modify the image found in the control (via a mini-bar or an image editor).
    New in version 23

  • copy, save and display the selected image in high-quality mode.

How to proceed?

Allowing the users to display a popup menu on the images

To allow the users to display a popup menu on the images:
  1. Display the description of Image control.
  2. In the "Details" tab, check "Allow the menu for handling images to be displayed (AAF)".
  3. Validate.
To allow the users to display a popup menu on the images:
  1. Display the description of Image control.
  2. In the "Details" tab, check "This image is a click area".
  3. In the option "Image handled by the user", select the type of popup menu to display:

    • "None": No popup menu will displayed for the control.
    • "Simple menu (copy, save as, etc.)": The popup menu is used to copy, save and display the selected image in high-quality mode.

    • "Simple menu + integrated edit (mini bar)": In addition to the simple menu, the popup menu proposes the option "Edit the image". This option is used to display a toolbar above the Image control in order to modify the image displayed in the control. A toolbar option is used to open the full image editor.

    • "Simple menu + integrated edit (entire editor)": In addition to the simple menu, the popup menu proposes the option "Edit the image". This option is used to display a full image editor allowing the user to modify the image displayed in the control.

  4. Validate.

Configuring the popup menu on the images

If the simple popup menu of AAFs was enabled for the Image control, you have the ability to configure it. To configure the popup menu of Image control, you must:
  1. Display the description window of Image control.
  2. Select the "GUI" tab.
  3. Choose the requested menu in the "Popup Menu" combo box. You can:
    • "Display the menu of AAF (System)": In this case, the automatic menu of Image control will be displayed. See Configuring the menu of AAFs for more details.
    • "Add a popup menu": If this option is checked, you will have the ability to select the custom popup menu to display.

Notes:
  • If both options are checked, the custom popup menu can be added before or after the menu of AAFs.
  • If no option is selected, no popup menu will be selected. The <Disabled> option will be displayed in the description window.
  • ..PopupMenu can also be used to delete the popup menu specific to the AAFs and to restore the standard Windows menu for a specific control.
  • If the image was assigned with a binary content (using fLoadText or a binary memo for example), the "High Quality" option is not available from the popup menu.

The Image control proposes export options: "Copy", "Save as", "Open with the default program", ...
AAFExportSecurity is used to secure these features:
  • by requesting a password before performing the export. In this case, a padlock or a star is displayed in the caption of the option.
  • by forbidding the export. In this case, the corresponding options will not be displayed anymore.
