Overview
The HFSQL Control Center is used to manage the HFSQL Client/Server servers and the HFSQL Client/Server databases.
From the Control Center, you can:
Note: From version 19, HFSQL is the new name of HyperFileSQL.
Adding a server and databases
To add a HFSQL server:
  1. Start the HFSQL Control Center (if not already done).
  2. Select the "HFSQL C/S" pane.
  3. Click the "Find a server" button in the home window ( Search icon ).
  4. Specify the action to perform:
    Connection to a server
    • To add all the HFSQL servers of a computer, check "Find all the HFSQL servers installed on a computer". In this case, specify the name of the computer and the port of the MantaManager service, then click "Connection".
    • To add a specific HFSQL server, check "Connect to a HFSQL server". In this case, specify the name of the computer and the port of the HFSQL service, then click "Connection".
    • To add all the HFSQL servers of the local network, check "Find all the HFSQL servers on the local network". Click "Connection".
      Caution: this operation may take quite a long time.
    • Versions 16 and later
      To add a HFSQL cluster, specify the name of the cluster coordinator and the port of the ClusterManager service, then click "Connection".

  5. The name of the computer and the different HFSQL Client/Server databases are listed in the left section of the screen. During the search, the different servers found are listed in the left section of the screen.
Connect to a HFSQL server
To connect to a HFSQL server, you can:
  • specify a new connection.
  • use a recent connection.
To specify a new connection:
  1. Start the HFSQL Control Center (if not already done).
  2. In the home screen, click "Connect to a HFSQL server".
  3. Specify:
    Connection to a server
    • the name or IP address of server,
    • the port,
    • the database name (optional),
    • the user and the password.
  4. Click the green validation button. The HFSQL server appears in the HFSQL Control Center. The server name and the different HFSQL Client/Server databases are listed in the left section of the screen.
To use a recent connection:
  1. Start the HFSQL Control Center (if not already done).
  2. In the home screen, click "Connect to a HFSQL server".
  3. Select the requested connection (in the "Recent connections" section) and click the green validation button. The HFSQL server appears in the HFSQL Control Center. The server name and the different HFSQL Client/Server databases are listed in the left section of the screen.
Note: To change the current connection in the HFSQL Control Center:
  1. Click Menu option .
  2. In the menu, click "Connect to a HFSQL server".
  3. The home window is displayed. Connect to the requested server.
