Overview
WDINT is used to:
  • Create a translation file.
  • Select an existing translation file.
Creating a translation file
To create a translation file:
  1. In the wizard of WDINT, select "Check out the messages to translate" then "Create a new translation file".
  2. Select the translation language: this information is used to suggest a name for the extraction file generated by WDINT (".WDM" file).
  3. Specify the name and path of the file to generate. By default, the name of the file corresponds to the name of the translation language followed by the ".WDM" extension. This file is saved in the setup directory of WDINT.
Reminder: Each extraction file is associated with two translation files (".TXT" files): a file containing the messages in the source language, a file containing the translated messages. This file is translated by WDTRAD (supplied with WDINT).
  4. Go to the next wizard plane to select the libraries to translate (see next step).

Note: Source language

The source language is the language from which the translation will be performed.
  • In the French version of WINDEV, WEBDEV or WINDEV Mobile, the strings in French are taken into account.
  • In the International version of WINDEV, WEBDEV or WINDEV Mobile, the strings in English are taken into account.
Selecting an existing translation file
To select an existing translation file:
  1. In the wizard of WDINT, select "Check out the messages to translate" then "Complete or modify an existing translation file".
  2. WDINT proposes the list of extraction files (".WDM" extension) created on the current computer. The following details are returned for each file: its location (full path) as well as the information regarding the last modification (date and time).
If the translation file to modify is not displayed in this list, the "Find" button enables you to select the ".WDM" file to modify.
Select the ".WDM" file to modify. The framework (".DLL" files) associated with this file will be automatically selected (see next step).
