Making the current keyboard visible Hide the details

<Result>: Boolean
  • True if the current keyboard was visible before the call to this function,
  • False otherwise. If the mobile device is using an external keyboard, the function may not be available and it may return False.

Finding out whether the current keyboard is visible Hide the details

<Result> = SIPVisible()
<Result>: Boolean
  • True if the current keyboard is visible,
  • False otherwise. If the mobile device uses an external keyboard, the function may not be available and it may return False.
Remarks

"Activate the keyboard in edit" option

The option "Activate the keyboard in edit" ("Details" tab of the description window of an edit control) is used to automatically make the current keyboard visible when the control is in edit.

The icon representing the Mobile Device keyboard ( for example) allows you to manage the use of keyboard.

Managing errors

Caution: SIPVisible returns no error code. To find out whether an error was generated by this function, use the ErrorOccurred variable. To find out the error details, use ErrorInfo.

ARM v4T processors (and compatible processors)

SIPVisible cannot be used on a Mobile Device equipped with an ARM v4T processor (or with a compatible processor).

Operating mode in GO mode and at run time

In GO mode (simulation on the development computer), a WLanguage error is generated during the call to SIPVisible.
