Step 4: Starting the print
Overview
To actually start the print, all you have to do is call iEndPrinting.
Printing via infrared
WINDEVWEBDEV - Server codeWindowsWindows Mobile If the computer (PC or Pocket PC) and the associated printer are equipped with an infrared port, the print is performed during the call to iEndPrinting.
Reminder: The printer used was selected by iDestination, iParameter or iConfigure.
Printing via the network
Windows Mobile If the Pocket PC is equipped with an Ethernet card or Wi-Fi, the print is performed during the call to iEndPrinting.
Reminder: The network printer used was selected by iDestination, iParameter or iConfigure.
Printing via a PCL file
WINDEVWEBDEV - Server codeWindowsWindows Mobile WINDEV and WEBDEV also allow you to print via a PCL file (Printer Control Language).
To perform this type of print:
  1. Specify the PCL file to create (iDestination).
    For example, on the Pocket PC:
    iDestination(iPCL, "\MyDocuments\MyFile.PCL")
  2. From the Pocket PC, copy the created PCL file onto a PC (file explorer or ceCopyFile for example).
  3. Copy the PCL file from the PC to the printer that will be used.
    For example:
    • by fCopyFile.
    • by entering a command line (in "Start .. Run" of Windows).
      Copy "<PCLFile>" "<PrinterUsed>"
Note: The user can also create a PCL file from the window for printer configuration (iConfigure or iParameter).
