Remarks

Registry of the Mobile Device

The following branches do not exist on a Mobile Device:
  • HKEY_PERFORMANCE_DATA,
  • HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG,
  • HKEY_DYN_DATA.

Managing errors

Caution: ceRegistryNextKey returns no error code. To find out whether an error was generated by this function, use the ErrorOccurred variable. To find out the error details, use ErrorInfo.

Equivalence

The operating mode of ceRegistryNextKey is equivalent to the operating mode of RegistryNextKey.
The only difference is:
  • ceRegistryNextKey handles the registry of the Mobile Device from a WINDEV application.
  • RegistryNextKey handles the registry of the Mobile Device only from a WINDEV Mobile application.

Registry of a Smartphone

The access to the registry may fail on some Smartphones. In this case, the ErrorOccurred variable is set to True.
