Syntax
<Result> = AgentCreate(<Name of the agent> , <Default agent> , <Displayed Agent> , <Agent used to display a message> , <Agent Used to Make a Choice> , <Agent used to perform an input>)
<Result>: Boolean

  • False otherwise.
<Name of the agent>: Character string
Name of the agent to create. Two applications can share an agent by using the same agent name.
<Default agent>: Character string

<Displayed Agent>: Character string

<Agent used to display a message>: Character string
Name and full (or relative) path of the AVI file associated with the agent when displaying a message (AgentMessage). This file is played in loop as long as the message is displayed. When the message is validated, the <Default Agent> file is run in loop. This parameter can correspond to a UNC path.
<Agent Used to Make a Choice>: Character string
Name and full (or relative) path of the AVI file associated with the agent when displaying a message allowing the user to pick an option (AgentChoice). This file is played in loop as long as the message is displayed. When the choice is validated, the <Default Agent> file is run in loop. This parameter can correspond to a UNC path.
<Agent used to perform an input>: Character string
Name and full (or relative) path of the AVI file associated with the agent when displaying a message allowing the user to enter an information (AgentInput). This file is played in loop as long as the message is displayed. Once the input is validated, the <Default Agent> file is run in loop. This parameter can correspond to a UNC path.
Remarks

Initializing an agent

The initialization of an agent consists in defining the different animation files (AVI type) that will be used for each one of the actions performed by the agent. An agent can:
  • be pending (by default),
  • be displayed,
  • display an information message,
  • display a message allowing the user to make a choice,
  • display a message allowing the user to enter information.
After initialization, the agent is hidden. To display the agent, use AgentShow.

Managing the colors in the AVI

The black color used in the different AVIs of the agent will be transparent when the AVI is displayed.
