Overview
The generation is used to create the WINDEV classes (".WDC" files) that correspond to the classes created in the UML editor.
You can:
  • generate a single class.
  • generate all the classes of the diagram.
A class diagram can also be generated by reverse engineering. See Generating a class diagram by reverse engineering for more details.
How to proceed?

Generating a single class

To generate a single class:
  1. Select the class to generate.
  2. Click . The window for UML generation is opened.
  3. The current class is:
    • in the table at the top if this class has never been generated. This class will be automatically created by the UML generation.
    • in the table at the bottom if this class has already been created. This class will be automatically recreated by the UML generation.
  4. Validate the generation of the UML class.

Generating all the classes of the diagram

To generate all the classes of the diagram:
  1. Select "Generate the UML model" from the popup menu of the editor (or click . The window for UML generation is opened.
  2. This window presents:
    • the classes that have never been generated in the table at the top. These classes will be automatically created by the UML generation.
    • the classes that have already been created in the table at the bottom. These classes will be automatically re-created by the UML generation.
  3. Validate the generation of the UML class diagram.
