Overview
When installing the Windows Mobile application, you have the ability to display:
  • A license agreement
  • A "Readme" file
By default, a summary of the options selected for the setup will be displayed before the setup starts.
The information displayed during the setup is managed in WPINST ("Parameters of setup .. License and ReadMe").
The wizard for creating the setup program also allows you to display a license agreement and a "Readme" file when installing the application.
Displaying a license agreement

Overview

The setup of your application can start with the validation of a license agreement. The user will have to accept the terms of the license agreement before he can continue.
The license file will be displayed by the setup wizard. It can be in text format (".TXT").

Displaying the license agreement at the beginning of setup:
  1. Select "Setup parameters .. License and Readme".
  2. Select a license file ("Select" button).
Displaying a "Readme" file

Overview

You can propose a "Readme" file to the user once the setup is over. This file can give indications about the limits of the software, help the user understand how to use this software, ...
At the end of setup, the user will have to check "Display the "Readme" file" to read this file.
This file can be:
  • in text format (".TXT"),
  • in Word format (".DOC"),
  • in HTML format (".HTM" or ".HTML"),
  • in RTF format (".RTF" or ".WRI" for example),
  • in any format recognized by the computer where the setup is performed.

Displaying a "Readme" file

To display a "readme" file:
  1. Select "Setup parameters .. License and Readme".
  2. Select a "Readme" file ("Select" button).
