Additional modules
The additional modules are used to add additional elements to the setup program and to access the advanced parameters of the setup. You can:
Note: Any application installed can be uninstalled from the control panel of Pocket PC.
Displaying a license agreement and a "Readme" file

Displaying a license agreement

If "Display a license agreement during the setup" is checked, you will have to specify the file containing the license agreement in the rest of the wizard. This file can be in text format (".TXT").
The license agreement will be displayed at the beginning of setup. The user will have to accept the terms of the license agreement before he can continue.
Reminder: The setup in CAB format does not allow you to display a license agreement.

Displaying a "Readme" file

If "Display a "Readme" file at the end of setup" is checked, you will have to specify the "readme" file in the rest of the wizard. This file can be:
  • in text format (".TXT"),
  • in Word format (".DOC"),
  • in HTML format (".HTM" or ".HTML"),
  • in RTF format (".RTF" or ".WRI" for example)
  • in any format recognized by the user computers.
The "readme" file is displayed at the end of the setup. At the end of setup, the user will have to check "Display the "Readme" file" to read this file.
Reminder: The setup in CAB format does not allow you to display a "Readme" file.
Program the automatic events of Pocket PC
When installing an application, you can configure whether this application is automatically started in response to specific events.
The executable can be run:
  • when switching the Pocket PC on ("On/Off" button of the Pocket PC),
  • when rebooting the Pocket PC,
  • when connecting the Pocket PC to the PC (before ActiveSync),
  • after synchronizing the Pocket PC and the PC (after ActiveSync).
Note: These operations can also be performed by programming with AutoRunAdd.

For each button, the setup program of an application can:
  • not modify the current operating mode of the button.
  • restore the default operating mode (if the button is associated with a specific application for example).
  • run an executable. The button will be associated with the selected executable.
