"Trace of debugger" pane
Overview
The "Trace of debugger" pane is used to view the messages displayed in the trace during the last application test.
These messages can correspond to:
  • the calls to Trace.
  • the errors that occurred during the test. The full error text is displayed in the trace window.
  • Versions 23 and later
    the messages associated with the breakpoints. See Managing breakpoints for more details.

The popup menu (right mouse click) of this pane is used to:
  • Clear the trace.
  • See the code associated with the current line (you also have the ability to double-click the line in the trace to see the associated code).
  • Configure the information listed in the debugger trace:
    • displaying the calls to Trace function,
    • displaying the exceptions,
    • displaying the non-fatal errors,
    • displaying the assertions,
    • displaying the control characters in character format (<\r><\n>) or convert them into their value.
  • Retrieving the content of a line, exporting the trace content.
Notes:
  • The "Trace of debugger" pane displays the last 1000 messages only (1 display corresponds to a call to Trace or to an error).
  • WEBDEV - Server codeWEBDEV - Browser code Only the information displayed in the server trace window will be displayed in "Trace of debugger" pane. The information displayed in the browser trace window will not be displayed.
Displaying the "Trace of debugger" pane
To display the "Trace of debugger" pane, select "Tools .. Options .. Options of the environment", "Panes" tab and check "Trace of debugger".To display the "Trace of debugger" pane, on the "Home" pane, in the "Environment" group, expand "Panes" and select "Trace of debugger".
